2024/2025 SEASON
SINKHOLE (OR SIX WAYS TO DISAPPEAR)
Written by Adjani Poirier
Running from Jan 20th - Feb 1st, 2025
La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines
A sinkhole cracks open below an apartment building, and a beloved community member goes missing. Through the interwoven stories of an intergenerational community, Sinkhole (or six ways to disappear), explores the human subconscious, the fear of disappearing and the strength of a working-class community.
Directed by Keith Fernandez.
STAGED READINGS

Each year we host a minimum of two staged reading series as part of our play development initiatives. Learn more about The Pipeline, our public reading series, and Park N’ Play, our open-air reading series for youth.
PLAYWRITING COMPETITIONS
We host two annual playwriting competitions: Write-on-Q our Quebec-wide playwriting competition of full-length plays, and The-Write-Stuff, our 10-20 minute long competition for youth ages 12-19. Both are juried by team of professional artists, and receive a cash prize, a public staged reading, and dramaturgical support.
WORKS IN DEVELOPMENT
Providing space for the development of new works is an essential part of Infinithéâtre’s mission. For our 2024/2025 season, we have two new productions in workshop:
WHALEFALL
Part documentary theatre, part puppet show, this original thread examines the complexities of culture, community, and the bonds that unite us. This new text is being developed as part of our Big Bang Artists’ Laboratory.
Original text by Riley Wilson and Ashe Lang.
NOLI
Originally premiering in French at Théâtre Prospéro in 2022, the team at Infinithéâtre were instantly charmed by this piece by Virginie Daigle! Now, in partnership with Talisman Theatre, we are commissioning an English-language translation with hopes for a production in the near future.
Premiere English-language translation of the French text by Virginie Daigle.
INFINIPRESS PUBLICATIONS
We expect to send two publications to print, including Michaela Di Cesare’s Extra/Beautiful/U, originally presented during our 2023/2024 season, and an English-language translation of King Dave, originally written in French by Alexandre Goyette, then adapted in collaboration with Anglesh Major, and translated to English by Patrick Emmanuel Abellard.
